 A Keen Eye for the Unusual Perennials
Each year, Sunny Border employees roam the world collecting seeds and cuttings from undiscovered or forgotten beauties tucked in the hidden gardens of China, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, England and the remote corners of the continents.
We also actively pursue new plants on our own grounds. Sunny Border has introduced the trade to such popular plants as Veronica ‘Sunny Border Blue,’ Echinacea ‘Kim ’s Knee High ’ and ‘Kim ’s Mop Head,’ and Pennisetum ‘Karley Rose,’ named for the daughter of one of our employees.
In addition to our own resources,we also bring in plants from the world ’s preeminent hybridizers and growers, such as delphiniums and lavenders from New Zealand,hostas and daylilies from the Netherlands,and echinaceas from North Carolina. |
