Yarrows
are just about the easiest plants to grow. They are deer resistant, tolerant
of a wide range of soils, and actually seem to prefer sandy infertile soil.
They are drought tolerant, and given sunny location will bloom for 6 weeks
or more. Achillea 'Red Velvet' grows 30” tall and is an outstanding cultivar
from the Netherlands with dark rosy red flowers that do not fade. Regarded
as one of the best reds to date, it is sure to please.
