Gazania linearis 'Colorado Gold'
|
Native to the alpine meadows of tropical Africa, Gazania has found its way across the waters to our North American gardens. 'Colorado Gold' is the hardiest selection of this genus. Glossy mounds of dark green, oblong leaves are topped off with non-stop shiny yellow flowers, some accented by an inner ring of brown. Height to 3", however the mounds spread to almost 10". Prefers loamy, well-drained soil. Will tolerate dry locations just fine.
