Nepeta x 'Joanna Reed'

Joanna Reed Catmint- From the garden of Joanna Reed, the much respected gardner of Longview Farms in Malvern, Pennsylvania, comes this natural cross between Nepeta siberica and Nepeta faassenii. The flowers are darker violet than other Nepetas, and it grows a good 3' tall. Tested over several years to ensure quality by Joanna, when David Culp of Sunny Border Nurseries in Kennsington,CT, saw the plant he realized immediately that it was a winner. David christened it 'Joanna Reed' in honor of its discoverer. Grow in full sun in any well-drained soil. Stand back and watch it grow.

Cold hardy in zones 3-8.
